Always looking for great BBQ and Salt City BBQ did not disappoint. We came up from Davis country to give them a try and it was a bit difficult to find them at first. They are located at the "Food Hall" downtown. There is a gravel back parking lot next to a bunch of graffiti covered buildings on the south side and street parking on the north side. It's a fun spot with outdoor seating, picnic tables and games when the weather warms. The owner, Rusty, was awesome, so friendly and passionate about what he does. They had a rush before we arrived and had ran out of ribs. He mentioned it would be about 30 minutes before the next batch of ribs were ready and that he couldn't, wouldn't, serve before they were fall off the bone ready. But would continue to check them for us until they were. So we wondered the food hall checking out the other offerings, see chunky cookies review, sushi, hamburgers, ramen and others. I was able to chat with Rusty about the local BBQ scene in Salt Lake and he was very knowledgeable. The owners smoker is out back and he's wearing a path walking back and forth to the tune of between 20,000 and 30,000 steps daily. We tried the ribs and they were so good, great flavor and fall off the bone tender. Didn't need a lot of extra sauce, but the bbq sauce provided was very good. We ordered a rack of ribs that fed 4 of us. 5/5 My wife loves smoked turkey and was excited to try theirs. She said it was awesome. It came with a side of spicy white sauce that I really liked. The wife said it was too good without the sauce and thought the sauce was too spicy for her tastes. 5/5 Sausage, I wasn't aware it was infused with cheese. It was really good but not as flavorful as I was hoping for. Still excellent. 4/5 Overall a fun spot with lots of options at the food hall and very good BBQ. Hope it's easier to find after the review and pictures.

Salt city won the best ribs in Utah! Definitely check out their ribs! The bbq nachos are a big hit too! Can't go wrong with any of their food! The brisket is always juicy and delicious. The pork is always very flavorful and smoky! Check out their website for locations!

"Bar-B-Q that Doesn't Suck".... Well, they are right! Definitely the best food truck at the SoHo foodtruck park that evening. The Mac & cheese with pulled pork was delicious!! I will have to come back and try more but if you see this truck come support these guys.

I visited mid day, I have frequently visited many bbq joints and this was just plain delicious. I was going to buy the amazing sauce until I looked at the ingredients. Soy was #1 so if you don't care about the that then you will love it.

It's hard to find a good, quality, bbq food truck. I've only ever had their ribs but they keep me coming back. It's the only truck I'll eat bbq from.

With the sad state of BBQ brick and motar joints in SLC, food trucks are the go to. Salt City has been decent with their ribs being the star. They were meaty and tender with a good smoke flavor. The barbecue sauce was amazing, it's wasn't sticky sweet. The brisket was just okay as it was on the drier side and didn't have much flavor. The stellar barbecue sauce really came to the rescue on this one. The staff was friendly and quick on both occasions I've visited at their new stop at Millcreek Commons.

Their team catered our event today. Great food and even better customer service. They drove up into the mountains and served over 100 folks quickly. 10/10 recommend them.

Man, this is GREAT BBQ! One of Utah's newest food trucks on the scene serving up some serious eats. Today I opted for the smoked turkey, the brisket, and the homemade cheddar / pepper sausage. Hard to pick a favorite so let's just say there was an empty plate when I was done. The "Aunt Cari's Beans" were very good and deep in flavor. The corn cake at the end is just enough to put you in a food coma and adds a little sweet to the heat. Something unique is that your meats are sold by the pound. That's great so you're getting exactly what you want without food costs determining how much good food you get. (My 3 meat compilation was about $16 which is pretty damned cheap for great bbq. The owner's been a foodie his whole life, is classically trained, and has a lot of trophies backing up his bbq. The love shows in his food. Next time I look forward to trying the pulled pork, I just didn't have the room for it today. I'll be following him in the Socials to see where I can get more great food in the future.

I love good bbq. I bbq at home. I bbq at work. I talk about bbq alot. This is good bbq. The good The ribs were excellent. The brisket was very good had a nice amount of bark and fat even on the point. I love a good smoked sausage. And oh boy was that cheddar and jalapeno sausage delicious. The right amount of fat, cheese and spiciness. I tried the pulled pork and chicken from my wife's plate and they were yum. The baked beans were amazing. I normally don't like baked beans. Don't normally get them but I might come just for the baked beans here. The ok This might be a preference thing but I like a vinegar based coleslaw with bbq. It helps cut down the fattyness
